After a week of green smoothies here are some things I love:
They are tasty. If you’re already a smoothie drinker, there is no reason not to add some greens to your mix. Of course, I haven’t tried kale yet…but spinach? no problem!
They feel good. Or make *you* feel good. I do have more energy –and I really shouldn’t my kids have been waking me up 2-3 times a night this week, and yet I don’t feel as groggy as I usually do.
They are easy. Fruit, greens, liquid. done. But also I add things like ginger and turmeric for reducing inflammation, chia seeds, coconut oil and cocoa powder for added benefits. So easy to get these random things into your diet with a smoothie, just blend them in.
They are habit forming. Sometimes, when we try to introduce a healthy habit, it feels more like effort than habit. I already look forward to my smoothie and it is a little break in my day. And I feel inspired to do other healthy things too. It’s a vicious cycle -I mean that in a nice way.
So week 1 of my green smoothie challenge has been a success! The other members of my family also are getting into it. I have to increase production
